'Soundtrack' soundset now also runs on the Kurzweil K2500 serie with KDFX Available for the K2600 serie since november 2018, Kalak's Soundtrack can now also be loaded in the Kurzweil K2500 serie with KDFX.
The K2500 must have the KDFX board installed to be able to have to best results because the sounds made by Kalak are heavily based on the FX. This set is also based on the internal keymaps, no additionnal samples. Modifications done by our member Yvo |

Kurzweil PC3K and Forte : 100 new sounds with PULSE 3 !
Based on sampling, PULSE 3 is a new soundset for the Kurzweil PC3K and Forte series. You will find 100 programs including fat basses, big pads and strings, classic polyphonic comp and brasses, drums and leads to name a few. A particular attention was provided in programming drifting oscillators and simulating free phase waveforms. Some filters transitions were also sampled and with some sounds you can have the feeling of playing with the original analog filter...! A huge effort has been made when developping this bank to keep everything in control regarding the size of the samples, and also in the programming to keep a wide polyphony....Optimization was also a part of the project. Novation : 2 new sets !
Florian from Studio MDDP has finished for the Mini / UltraNova and Bass Station 2 synthesizers two new soundsets.
Following the previous Octopus soundset, Octopus 2 for the Mini & UltraNova is oriented large and fat textures while Space Odyssey explores the paraphonic mode of the Bass Station for some crazy and strange sounds. Check them out !

New set of 64 programs for the Arturia MatrixBrute
First there was 'Impact', released in 2017. Today Barb & Co is happy to propose a new set of 64 programs for the Arturia MatrixBrute, called Synapse.
You will find some basses, leads and arps but you will have also a nice amount of complete rythmic sections with kick, hihat, synth and bassline in a single program. The MatrixBrute allows, thanks to its great modulation matrix, some complex and very dynamic programming. These patterns can of course be tweaked in real time with some carefully chosen parameters using the 4 macros buttons, but if you really want to break anything, feel free to use the complete panel of the instrument ! Baloran / The River : Work in progress
Barb & Co is proud to be able to work on the presets of the River, an analog, polyphonic and multitimbral synthesizer from the company Baloran.
Coyote14 and myself (Barb) will work on it. The presets are still under development but the instrument was tested by Eric Inglebert in Audiofanzine. If you want to check by yourself the audio quality of the River, have a listen to the numerous extracts, based on the still in development presets... We hope you will like them ! Just pure analog ! |
