PULSE is a new soundset exclusively developped for the pc3K series. It uses about 5 MB of samples coming from the analog world.
Before going further, please check out your Operating System version because PULSE needs the last OS.
You can easily update your system from Kurzweil Music System site.
PULSE provides 120 new programs including 12 drumkits.
The same effects chain is used for most of the sounds, so it's easier to learn the effect affectations.
Speaking about the effect, you have a BBD-type chorus. It's a triple chorus used on some strings machines and synths like the Solina or Synthex. It's a kind of chorus where you can put a single sawtooth and get a fat string sound instantly.
Then you have a bit crusher for low quality effect. You can adjust the rate and depth in realtime and swith it
on / off with the switch button.
And a classic Delay / Reverb close the effect chain, of course you can adjust delay time / level and
reverb time / level...
The samples have been recorded at 24 bits / 48 Khz, then scaled down for most to 16 bits / 32 Khz.
Analog gears don't have some much high frequencies so 32 Khz was enough for this work, and you can save space for other samples.
