VORTEX is a brand new soundset for the Kurzweil PC3 synthesizers line. Yes, i call them "synthesizers" because there is more power and flexibility in the PC3 line than any other hardware synths.
Before going further, please check out your Operating System version because Vortex will NOT run with OS older than V2.0.
You can easily update your system from Kurzweil Music System site.
VORTEX provides 50 new programs and 10 setups including arpeggios and riffs, split and layered sounds.
This bank is more oriented 'modern synth sounds', with big stacked detuned programs, using a trick coming from the analog modular world called 'saw animator'.
It gives a more natural sound, less predictable and in a way fatter. Of course, in VORTEX, other synthesis functions are used like PWM, serial and parallel filtering, crossmodulation, frequency modulation, ring modulation, bit crushing, EQ's, etc.........
The overall volume has been adjusted to suit the PC3's presets.

It is optimized to be printed and don't forget to check the info page on your PC3 too.
With the V2.0 update, you can now set controlers affectations 'on the fly' !
