PULSE 3 is a soundset where you will find 100 programs including basses, leads, pads, brasses, strings, drums and more...
It's 100% based on Roland SH-1 samples, no external or internal waveforms were added. The challenge was to make a complete soundset with a simple machine, but with a really cool raw sound ! A particular attention was provided in programming drifting oscillators and simulating free phase waveforms. Some filters transitions were also sampled and with some sounds you can have the feeling of playing with the original analog filter...! A huge effort has been made when developping this bank to keep everything in control regarding the size of the samples, and also in the programming to keep a wide polyphony....Optimization was a big part of the project. | ||
Additionnal informations :
To keep everything simple and fun to use, i've kept the same FX chain on all programs (except for the drumkit)
Insert > EQ + Chorus + Delay
Aux 1 > Reverb
The faders are used to control the virtual FX rack and you will find all the necessary settings to adjust your sounds.
Remember that you can make a snapshot of the position of the faders once you are ok with your settings by just hitting the 'SAVE' button.

The modwheel is mostly used for vibrato / tremolo or filter cutoff. The switch is used as a sound variation, meaning depending on the program you can set one oscillator down, or change the amplitude envelope time, or change the waveform of an oscillator, etc... As usual you have a feedback on the screen of what you are doing when you are moving a controller. |
Of course in the PDF file in the Utility File section above you will find a complete list of the programs with their controls.
Please note you will easily find the patches in your instrument because all the names begin with 'P3-', for example :
'P3-Cloud busting', which is the first program of the soundset !
