Impact is a new soundset for the Arturia analog synthesizer, it's a collection of 64 patches. Some have arps or sequences.
They can freely be used 'right out of the box', or used as a starting point for your own programmings and musics.
Each program has an optimized set of macros (buttons M1 - M4).
These macros have been adjusted with specific paramaters, and the user can tweak the sounds in real time, or easily make some new presets ! So with the 64 presets and macros, you will have hours of experimentations...

Impact includes some basses, leads, vocal type sounds, synthesized drums, SFX, and a lot of complex rythmic and evolving sequences. There are some modern as well as some classic sounds but there are also some hybrid / FM textures.
Maybe something you won't expect from a pure analog synthesizer !
The MatrixBrute is a very versatile and powerful instrument. Some sounds in this soundset cannot be reproduced in any other analog gears, or maybe with a modular monster with tons of cables ! (But no memories...) So i hope you will have fun with these sounds !

Let it warm !
It's an analog synth, so if you want to enjoy this soundset and play with programs behaving as they are supposed to, you should let your MatrixBrute warm up for about 10 - 15 minutes, as specified in the manual. (Switch it on, and go for a coffee ! )
You won't harm anything if you don't but you will play with an out of tune instrument and the experience will be biased...

Installation infos :
To be able to load the sounds into your MatrixBrute, first you will need to :
- Download the 'Midi Control Center' from Arturia Website
- Unzip the file called 'Impact MB soundset' you've downloaded from Barb & Co
When unzipped you will have 3 files :
- Impact 64 patches (Full Impact soundset)
- Impact Bank A-D (Impact soundset divided in 4 banks of 16 patches)
- Impact Individual (You have all 64 patches as separates files)
So you have the choice to import in the Midi Control Center what suits you best depending on how you have organised your personnal sounds.
For example, you can rearrange your sounds in the Midi Control Center to make a 256 sounds setup and send it to the MatrixBrute.
Or you can drag and drop sounds from the Midi Control Center to your MatrixBrute, overwriting sounds you don't like or filling empty spaces.
