Welcome to Pulse 3 Evolution page !

|
Back a few years ago i released Pulse 3 for the Kurzweil PC3K and Forte.
Those instruments had less controls to modify the sounds on the fly so i decided then to keep concentrated only on some FX controls. With the K2700 (and PC4), we have a full load of available controls so i took this opportunity to rework deeply this soundset and enhance the user experience. A few more sounds have also been added as well as some drum samples. The FX section has also been greatly reworked to give more sound mangling options. Beside the classic Chorus / Delay / Reverb, i added compressors, Ring Modulation, Aliaser, Phaser, etc... So today i'm happy to release Pulse 3 Evolution for the new K2 serie in which you will find no less than 111 programs including 7 drumkits...Enjoy ! |
Additionnal infos :
< Finding the patches of Pulse 3 Evolution in your memory slots
All the programs names of Pulse 3 Evolution start with 'P3E", so it will be easy for the users to find them, even if you have thousands of programs in your K2700. Here is a trick : Push 'ENTER' and a button of the category section to enter the search mode. Then type 'P3E', and you will be sent to one of the Pulse 3 Evolution presets ! |
The parameters page :
The two pictures below show some of the parameters (more than 30 !) that are available to shape your sounds.
Most of them are of course linked to the onboard controllers of the K2700 with feedbacks on the screen, for live editing but a few of them are only accessible in the parameters page. I added here usually some FX parameters like Delay Feedback, Tremolo Shape, Reverb Room Type, Reverb Size Scale...

Parameters Hardware Controllers :
I don't think a PDF file for describing what all the controllers are doing would be really useful as we will end up having too many informations on one page.
Remember, there are 111 programs having more than 30 parameters each ! Nobody will read it ;-)
So, to keep everything simple, i choosed to stay by Kurzweil standard mapping.
That means that faders 1 & 2 are linked to filters, tone controls, etc...
Faders 3 & 4 are linked to attack and release, etc...
Please note that some samples have embedded filter envelopes on some presets.
Because you cannot change this once it's burned in your flashram, the additionnal filters i programmed act more like tone control or additionnal mixers.
I just took a bit of freedom for switch 5, fader 5 and rotary 5.
Those controllers have variable actions on each presets like noise level, detune, decay etc...Parameters i found useful for each patch.
The Variation button can change a sound from Monophonic to Polyphonic on the fly.
You can morph for example a solo sound to a comp synth or a pad easily.

Note for previous Pulse 3 customers :
If you already bought the previous version of Pulse 3 for the PC3K, Forte of PC4 and want to upgrade for your K2 serie instrument or PC4, please just send me an email with your order number and date of purchase. Of course, you won't have to pay the full price, only the difference between both versions.
Thanks for your time ! I hope you will have some good time playing and composing tracks with Pulse 3 Evolution !
